KT Soon

Psychotherapist & Couples Counsellor in Singapore

You may be navigating difficulties in a relationship — patterns that repeat, distance that has grown, or a decision that feels impossible to make alone. Or you may be carrying the pressure of high expectations, personal struggles, or emotional strain that is beginning to affect how you work, lead or relate to others.

"A strong, trusting therapeutic relationship comes first. That trust doesn't soften the read — it sharpens it."

My approach

Ms Soon works from a Person-Centred foundation, helping clients see the pattern underneath a presenting problem, not only the problem itself. She is analytical without being detached: rigorous about what's actually going on, and genuinely invested in why.

The work is not about fixing what is broken. It is about understanding what is actually going on — and finding a more useful way forward.

What I offer

Services

Couples Counselling

For couples caught in recurring conflict, resentment, emotional distance or loss of trust — as well as those facing difficult decisions about the future of their relationship. The work is structured and may include relationship assessment, individual work and Gottman-informed couple sessions.

Performance Anxiety

For people who are capable and accomplished, yet find anxiety, perfectionism, self-doubt or fear of failure interfering with how they perform. This may arise in school, work, leadership or other high-pressure situations.

Individual Psychotherapy

For emotional difficulties, recurring patterns and life experiences that have become difficult to manage alone. Therapy focuses on understanding what lies beneath the difficulty and developing more effective ways of responding.

Psychological Support for Professionals

For executives, managers, founders and professionals carrying sustained pressure, difficult decisions or personal concerns that are beginning to affect how they work, lead or relate to others. Therapy offers a confidential space to understand what is driving the difficulty, regain perspective and respond more effectively. Corporate-sponsored sessions and organisational referrals are also available.

"

Is this the right fit for you?

"You may understand the problem intellectually, yet find yourself returning to the same patterns. You may be functioning well outwardly while carrying anxiety, pressure or emotional strain that others do not see. The work is not only about managing symptoms. It is about understanding what keeps the difficulty in place — so that meaningful change becomes possible."
